Spotted! New Wet N Wild Polishes-Fergie Collection

Hello darlings!
As some of you may know, Fergie is the new(ish) global beauty ambassador for Wet N Wild Cosmetics. This is the first LE line they have come out with together so far.

Here are the ones I picked up:

Heels of Steel: A charcoal/black bases packed with gunmetal silver glitter. Opaque in one coat.
Tonight's Gonna Be A Good Night: Clear base with small black glitters and larger gold hex pieces.
Miami Spirit: A very green teal (the pic looks more blue) with ultra fine blue and green shimmer. Dries matte, but looks great with a glossy topcoat.
Hollywood Wall of Fame: Lots of different color stars, bars and tiny square glitters in a clear base.
All swatches are two coats

NOTD-Miami Spirit with Hollywood Wall of Fame on the Ring Finger and a glossy topcoat.

So far I like these. The colors are beautiful and go on very nicely without streaking. It has a flat wide(ish) brush that is much easier to work with and a bit smaller than the ones from the Spoiled line. I'm tempted to go back and get a few more colors :) Has anyone else seen these yet? What do think?

Spring Into Color: Neon Nails

Hello dears!
So one of the hottest trends this spring is neons, and what easier way to wear them than on your fingers and toes? There are so many beautiful neon polishes out right now and I picked up a few the other day. After applying several coats they weren't coming out anywhere near as bright as in the bottle. So how do you get the most out of these ultra bright colors? Simple. Use a white nail polish as a base and then one or two coats of your favorite neon to get that intense color payoff.
So this is with 2 coats, 4 coats and then 1 coat over a white base. Can you see what a big difference it makes?

Here are the neon manis I have been rocking this week:

This was my neon tie-dye gradient attempt using a makeup sponge. What do you think?

Hope this helps!

Pretty Nerdy : The Tardis

Hello again!
So this is the first of a series that I am calling Pretty Nerdy. Because they are going to be gorgeous and inspired by my favorite nerdy things. From books to TV shows, movies to games. I am going to try to make them as wearable as possible while still having an obvious nod to whatever the inspiration is. This look was inspired by my current obsession, Doctor Who; more specifically his spaceship/time machine called the Tardis (Time and Relative Dimension in Space). If you are unfamiliar, this is what it looks like:

Yes, it looks like a Police box from the 50's, and yes it is bigger on the inside :)
So I was more so going off of the outside, since it is often referred to as the blue box.

I used a few different things for this eye look. NYX Jumbo eye pencil in Cottage Cheese on the inner corner and waterline, Pearl Mania loose pigment in True Blue on the lid, and the sparkly blue "Crease" color on the left from WnW Blue Had Me at Hello on the outer corner and in to the crease and the lower lashline. I finished it off with a half set of lashes and some mascara.

Hope you like it!

Holiday Looks

Hey beauties!
I thought maybe you guys would like to see some fun holiday looks! These are just two that I cam up with.

For a holiday/Christmas party:

Using Jesse's Girl Antique Green foiled with elf Lock and Seal on the lid
Then I used a fluffier brush to blend it in the crease. With just a shimmery white as a highlight. Then I used elf liquid liner in Copper. With Maybelline One-by-one mascara and elf blushing rose on my upper cheekbone.

For New Years!
Starry gel liner in silver on the lids, then patted on Revlon diamond dust in 100 Celestial Silver. Then took my WnW matte black from the Blue Had Me at Hello and did a winged outer v and brought it down to the lower lash line. Maybelline master drama liner on the waterline and One-by-one mascara. Lastly a  light dusting on WnW pearlescent pink on my cheeks.

Enjoy!-The Addict

Pick of the Week!

Hello Beauties!
So, this is the first of many pick of the weeks. We will try to have these posted every Monday and they will always be under $5! We will take turns each week, and it will be a product that we just couldn't have lived without during that week.
So for me it is a product I'm sure you all have heard of. It's the WnW trio in Walking on Eggshells.

I have been so sick this week and have not felt like doing anything with my makeup. I did have to go out a few times and come to work today. So anytime I have left the house this week I have reached for this trio. It's so easy. I didn't have to think about color combinations or put in much effort. The colors are light and soft, and give you a bit of that fresh faced girl next door look. I think this is a go-to for a quick and effortless natural look. It retails for $2.99 at most drugstores. I got mine at Big Lots, so I think it was a little less.

I felt like death while taking these pictures, but I don't think I look too bad. :)
In case you were wondering, I'm also wearing: Bare Minerals Foundation, Milani blush in Mai Tai, Prestige my Biggest Lashes Mascara, Hard Candy concealer stick on my waterline, and elf Hypershine Lip Gloss in Fairy.

XOXO,

The Addict
